Rhianna and Maroon 5 Team Up For New Single

Both on tour, both on the verge of re-releasing their platinum albums, Maroon 5 and Rhianna have teamed up to remix, Maroon 5's track, "If I Never See Your Face Again." The single will be featured on each of their albums and will be given full single treatment, including video, press, etc. Check it out here, I was a fan of the song before, now I think I like it even better.

G Unit's New Single Off Of New Album50 Cent and his comrades are back again for the second go around at a group album. The majority of the album was created before Buck was "kicked" out of the group so no word on what will happen with his content. I'm not sure if G Unit have the brand name like they once had, however, the track, at least the beat on the track is solid. If only 50 didn't talk so much mess this song might actually blow up. They just released it to all outlets and have even ask man of the hour, Lil Wayne, to hop on the remix. MF 3.0 has it all here for ya to check out.

Gnarls Barkley Got It Going OnThe Odd Couple. Gnarls Barkley couldn't have picked a better name for their second album. This funky duo, composed off Cee-Lo Green former frontman for the Dungeon Family's Goodie Mob, of ATL and Outkast fame, and Danger Mouse creator of The Beatles/Jay-Z mash up, The Grey Album, has released their second single and video called Goin On. The song and video, as usual, is funky and highly entertaining. The two genre-bending artists don't even feature in the video but after watching it you won't even mind. Jay-Z & Mary Hit Us With "You're Welcome" VideoJay-Z and Mary J. Blige, two of showbiz's hardest working people have dropped a video for their tour promo single, "You're Welcome." The video is shot documentary style and pieces together footage from their tour so far. Enjoy. I'm also gonna show yall their appearance on The Letterman Show last week, Jay talk a little bit on the stuff Kels use to do when they were touring together.

R. Kelly's New Hair Now I was just gonna post on R. Kelly's new joint, Hairbraider, then when I found out what his hairbraider actually did to his hair, I had to show yall. Now I don't know bout you, but the man has got to be going to jail soon if he doin' crazy stuff like that. The song jam, and it's classic Kels, that we've been accustomed to lately, not vintage Kels of Bump N Grind, Seems Like You Ready. Either way the song's tight, that is you're not tired of Kels doin' the same ol thing...which I guess is what he was trying to avoid with his hair looking like that. Anyway, here go the track.

Watch out now, according to blogstress Necole Bitchie, when she caught up with Chilli out in Atlanta she had this to say about the one who use to have it bad for her:

"Usher is the one that I truly did love," she said. "Like that was truly my first adult love. I love him very much and I will always love him. I don't know how you love someone that deeply and just stop loving them. I'm not in love with him anymore but I can't say that I don't love him anymore. And of course I do want him to be happy and all but me and him had what I never had in any of my other relationships, and that was chemistry."

Now you know Tameka jumping up and down somewhere just waiting to run into Chilli somewhere in Atlanta. That would be a sight to see. Although my girl wouldn't even have a chance with Blanka. In the interview, Chilli also says another one that got away was Marlon Wayans! Yeah I kno right, apparently they dated back when they were 20, but she felt like he was too good, and wanted a "bad" guy. It look like Chilli just need a guy period.


Alicia Keys Under Fire After Conspiracy CommentsMy wifey has been catching some flack for recent comments that she made in an interview with Blender magazine. The magazine quoted her as saying, and I'm just paraphrasing, that she believed Gangsta Rap was made up by the government as a ploy in order to get black folks to kill each other, and the government and media made it bigger than what it was. Now I agree with her on that, with how the media blew the whole East Coast vs. West Coast out of proportion when it was goin' down, but the government stuff? Don't know about that ma. And that's exactly what she went on Ryan Seacrest:On Air to clean up what she said. A keys tells the listeners, she was misquoted and mistaken, and clarify her comments, which when you hear it makes a lot more sense. These media people just try taking everybody down don't they. Freekey Zeekey Escapes From Near Fatal Car Crash New has just surfaced on Dispet representative, Freekey Zekey's near fatal car crash which occured last night, April 15th. Story is, Zekey was sitting in his 2007 White S550 Benz at a stop light when he was struck from the rear causing both Zeke and the passenger to be ejected through the windshield and on a Hummer that was parked in front of them. Both were rushed to the hospital but were later released with minor injuries. Freekey Zekey had just left the studio where he was working on his sophomore set due out this fall on Asylum Records. MF 3.0 glad he's ok, and tellin' everybody to buckle up.

Now she headin' to the U.S. to come share the love. Backed by Simon Cowell, obviously, and Clive Davis, the legend, and a $10million investment, Leona Lewis is trying to repeat what she did out there. Her single, "Bleeding Love" was just released last week and has already cracked the Billboard 100, she is set to appear on Ameican Idol soon, and she just sang on Oprah this week, and u know how artist's stock always rises after the appear on Oprah. Common Rekindles The LightsCommon has revamped his joint, The Light, from 2000 which featured in the video Erykah Badu(my boy AB posted it last week for his bday) for Smirnoff Vodka's Signature Series Mix Cd. Once again Common can do no wrong on this track, and Just Blaze once again murdered the beat. Common really is one of the heavyweights in Hip Hop, more people better recognize, and the dude doin' movies now. He was in Smokin' Aces and American Gangster, but watch out for him in the upcoming movie with Angelina Jolie, Wanted, and Street Kings with Forest Whitaker.

Hip Hop Saved Lupe's LifeNow I know I posted on this dude last week about his Superstar remix track, but this dude just keeps comin' with it. 03/12/08 - Hump Day EXCLUSIVES

Lil Wayne' Carter III's OFFICIAL 1st Single: Lollipop (VIDEO AND TRACK!)
The long awaited and delayed The Carter III finally has an OFFICIAL first single, the song is titled Lollipop and was to be released later this week but of 'course we got it before that. The video is also set to premiere tonight on BET's Access Granted, but of course we got it before that too. It's a rough cut of the video but whatever, we got it. The track features Lil Wayne one again experimenting with the Roger Zapp/T-Pain voice modulator thing, and at times can become annoying, but all in all the track is hott, but definitely not what I expected Wayne to drop first. The single also features the late, great Sean "Static" Garrett, of the R&B group Playa. I have been meaning to post on this, but Sean Garrett passed away two weeks ago what is said to be complications from a brain anuresym. Static was one of Devante from Jodeci and Timbaland's protege who got his start with the group Playa and their mild-hit "Cheer To You." He then went behind the scenes and became a monster penning numerous hits such as Ginuwine's "Pony" and "Aaliyah's "Are You That Somebody" and trust me many, many more. This is Static's last piece of work and the last video footage that can be seen of him. May his soul rest in peace.

O'neal McKnight's Official Video Release

Now I told yall I was going to post this song multiple times 'cause this infectious song is just going to keep on growing. NY's O'Neal McKnight has just released his official video for "Check Your Coat" and should be available at media outlets beginning next week. The video is a Lil X helmed, updated version of his independent video, that can been on his myspace, but this one has a better look, better cameos, and yeah the Deleron from Back To The Future. Lupe Fiasco has decided to keep the heat goin' on his track Superstar and has enlisted two Atlanta heavyweights for remix duties. Young Jeezy and T.I. both spit verses on Lupe's track, and I have to say both artists both went a little hard. Still don't know how T.I. managed to get on this track but I guess with internet these days all he had to do was just send it out, huh. Anyway peep the track here.

Geffen & Interscope Merge!

Man... the music industry needs to get it's act together... And I thought I knew it all (from what I've seen) when it came to puttin' out and distributing music... But if Interscope, home of G-Unit, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Eve, Black Eyed Peas and dang near errybody else has to merge with another label because they lost on so much money... That's just crazy... Rumor is that they have merged, due to losing about $18 Mill off of the following projects... Eve (pushed back), Nicole S (scared to release) and Will.I.Am (flopped like a fish outta water, despite a pretty good 1st single...) They'll pick it up in 08, right? Man, support your favorite artists before they get dropped, please.

J. Prince Suing BET & Apple!


After hearing about, I'm wondering if J. Prince is the new Suge Knight...
J. Prince is suing BET & Apple because he claims that the series, "American Gangster" incorrectly labeled them as a killer and used his image without permission. If you want which episode, it's the one about Larry Hoover...

Now after another report of someone suing him over being beatdown by 7 men at one of J's gymnasiums over a bad deal, I'm REALLY starting to wonder about him... That's really Gangster, for someone who claims shouldn't be on that show.

Usher's bro is stepping out on his own and just signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with EMI Music Publishing. James Lack, or JLack as he goes by has been making beats ever since his big bro got major and finally cracked the scene with Lloyd's club hit "Get It Shawty". Yeah, I ain't know he that beat either, well that joint and presumeably others were good enough for him to sign a deal and now he should be own his way. He just got work on his intro, his "This is a J Lac track, man" is not what that is. Go back n peep that Lloyd beat ya dig.

Lupe Fiasco is this close to dropping his sophmore album, and let me tell ya I can't wait. Lupe is a breath of fresh air and if you ain't heard his joint Superstar yet then your a clown. Nah, not really but go peep that joint and the video Lupe making good music right now. We got the title track to his album "The Cool" and this joint is even more quality music. The network that gives everybody a show has called up Snoop to have a crack at his own family-sitcom/reality show. Snoop premired his "Fatherhood" show this past Sunday on E! and although I ain't catch it, I heard it's pretty funny. Similar to Run's House, wish is off the chian by the way, but a lil more, I dunno pimped out? Either way I just wanna see how his kids be actin' w/ a daddy like that so you know I'm tuning in. The nerve of this dude... Kenneth Anthony Wilson was charged on November 1st with 2nd degree criminal damage to property. A rope with a wooden cross attached to it was found wrapped around the Tupac statue that stands in the Center's Peace Garden in Atlanta. He is being held on a $1500 bond. What a sad day that people still participate in acts like this... Nuff said.
