Jay-Z's Blueprint Coming Soon...


Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3 is coming out September 11th! Exactly 8 years from when he dropped the first Blueprint! And I have this crazy feeling it's gonna be hotter than Kingdom Come...

If this were a show, it'd have an all-star cast. It will include Kanye West (of course), Rihanna, Drake, Kid Cudi, Alicia Keys, Young Jeezy, Swizz Beatz & more... Kanye produced most of the album, so please believe production will be dope.

Rumor running around town is that Empire State of Mind was to include Nas, but for some reason, he was removed from the tracklisting and replaced by Alicia Keys... (Interesting...)

Jay-Z will perform at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards on September 13th. The next day, he's set to perform “Run This Town” on the debut episode of The Jay Leno Show.Check out the official track list:

R&N - 01/31/09 - Baby-J's Finest Men in Hip Hop List

Wasup!! I'm the newest addition to the MF3 staff. Glad to be apart of the awesome team. To tell you a little about me, I'm a gemini, I like walks on the beach....naw j/k. Really...I'm a Chicago native who loves music, it's what I do. More about me to come later on in my profile :) Now to the good stuff. For my very first post, this is for the ladies. (Guys I got you next week.) I thought I would have a lil bit of fun and start out my blogs with my "Top Ten Finest Men in Hip Hop". Let me know what you think.

10. LIL WAYNE

OK, so right now this man is on top...just not on the top of my list. However, he did make it on :) When you get a first look at him you notice his hard thuggish exterior. You notice the ego that sometimes seems to show it's face every now and then, however, you can't help but to notice how cute he is under all that. He actually has a certain look of innocence that has stayed with him ever since he burst onto the hip hop scene. Mr. A Milli himself or should I say Sexy Mr. Carter...


9. Kanye West

Mr. Love Lockdown himself. I love his sex appeal, not only because we share the same hometown, but because he knows how to be himself, no matter how stuck up it seems. One things you can always be sure of, Kanye is always gonna do Kanye. No gimmicks, no made up gangsta facade, nothing, just Kanye. I also love how he lets his real life issues bleed through his music. He always give you a peak inside his heart, good or bad.

8. Nelly

He's not #1 on my list but he is still a hottie. No wonder he got Ashanti on lock! Nelly has the ability to bring the sexy thug look on the street and the rock hard six pack in the bedroom ladies. Have you seen him with a suit though? All I can say is wow. Being able to bring the sexy, make the ladies scream no matter what the occasion, AND being able to hum a few bars just enough to make you melt puts Nelly on my hot list.

7. Pharrell

Do I even have to type anything? Once you are finally able to tear yourself away from those adorable eyes....all you can say is....well what can you say? The man is fine! If he tries to sing to you, you just might have to pull those thongs off and fling 'em right in his direction! It seems like he was born with that sexy swagger... even when he is riding on that skateboard of his.

6. Jay-Z

Big lips or not, snagging one of the hottest chicks in the game prooves that he has serious sex appeal. Did I mention those big juicy lips? He was responsible for making all the wannabe thugsters ditch those tired throwback jerseys and become grown and sexy. If that's not reason enough to be one of the finest men in hip hop, I don't know what is. Jigga who? Yeah, you already know who needs an encore.

5. LL Cool J

This man has been in the hip hop game for 23 years and he is STILL mmm mmm good! How does he do it?? He doesn't look a day over thirty. People shout plastic surgery while he assures it's just good nutrition and exercise. He seems to take his shirt off in every movie and video to prove he is authentic and honey, that is alright with me! Momma said take you home with me!

4. Andre 3000

Now I admit, you may feel like this guy is a lil too high on my list...but I just can't get past that beautiful smile of his. Once you finally stop looking at his smile you can't ignore the way he can wear LITERALLY anything he wants and STILL seem to pull it off flawlessy. Did I mention he has a great sense of humor and shining personality. Why the heck did Erykah Badu let him go again??

3. Diddy

Rule #1: NEVER make a list of the finest men in hip hop and leave out Diddy...or he might fire you. Even if he's not your boss. Anyway, Diddy has found a way to make a name for himself...LITERALLY. Everything he touches seems to turn to gold and make him millions. He has built himself up to be known as the definition of sexy. Keep using that ProActive Solution!!

2. Common

I don't know what it is but this man makes me....maybe I should keep that to myself. It's got to be that voice of his. The way he speaks just seems to make your heart tingle, and don't get me started on how he looks. That's a blog entry all on it's own :) Another Chi-Town favorite on my wonderful list. Hey... Erykah let this one go too!! What is she thinking?

1. T.I.

This picture says it all. He can come to you rough and edgy or smooth and collected. You can have whatever you like. Either way, he's gonna look fine as hell when you see him. It seems like he got even more handsome as the years passed or maybe that was just us seeing a man coming into his own. Maturing into the sexy T.I. we see today.

MY TRUE #1. Tupac Shakur

Alright. I couldn't REALLY finish my list without letting you know my REAL number one even though he is no longer with us...or is he??? Whatever the case, this man will probably never leave the top of my list and I don't think I have to explain why. Ok maybe I'll explain a little bit. Those eyes. They can give you a look that will make you want to wish you were never born and they can also make your heart melt and want to go back in time and save him before that fatal day. Geez....the eyes always get me. R.I.P. Tupac.

I also was able to kick it with him while in the studio when recording the remix so I'll show yall a piece of how it went down :) Music is sounding real good right about now.

Rhianna and Maroon 5 Team Up For New Single

Both on tour, both on the verge of re-releasing their platinum albums, Maroon 5 and Rhianna have teamed up to remix, Maroon 5's track, "If I Never See Your Face Again." The single will be featured on each of their albums and will be given full single treatment, including video, press, etc. Check it out here, I was a fan of the song before, now I think I like it even better.

G Unit's New Single Off Of New Album50 Cent and his comrades are back again for the second go around at a group album. The majority of the album was created before Buck was "kicked" out of the group so no word on what will happen with his content. I'm not sure if G Unit have the brand name like they once had, however, the track, at least the beat on the track is solid. If only 50 didn't talk so much mess this song might actually blow up. They just released it to all outlets and have even ask man of the hour, Lil Wayne, to hop on the remix. MF 3.0 has it all here for ya to check out.

Gnarls Barkley Got It Going OnThe Odd Couple. Gnarls Barkley couldn't have picked a better name for their second album. This funky duo, composed off Cee-Lo Green former frontman for the Dungeon Family's Goodie Mob, of ATL and Outkast fame, and Danger Mouse creator of The Beatles/Jay-Z mash up, The Grey Album, has released their second single and video called Goin On. The song and video, as usual, is funky and highly entertaining. The two genre-bending artists don't even feature in the video but after watching it you won't even mind. Geffen & Interscope Merge!

Man... the music industry needs to get it's act together... And I thought I knew it all (from what I've seen) when it came to puttin' out and distributing music... But if Interscope, home of G-Unit, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Eve, Black Eyed Peas and dang near errybody else has to merge with another label because they lost on so much money... That's just crazy... Rumor is that they have merged, due to losing about $18 Mill off of the following projects... Eve (pushed back), Nicole S (scared to release) and Will.I.Am (flopped like a fish outta water, despite a pretty good 1st single...) They'll pick it up in 08, right? Man, support your favorite artists before they get dropped, please.

J. Prince Suing BET & Apple!


After hearing about, I'm wondering if J. Prince is the new Suge Knight...
J. Prince is suing BET & Apple because he claims that the series, "American Gangster" incorrectly labeled them as a killer and used his image without permission. If you want which episode, it's the one about Larry Hoover...

Now after another report of someone suing him over being beatdown by 7 men at one of J's gymnasiums over a bad deal, I'm REALLY starting to wonder about him... That's really Gangster, for someone who claims shouldn't be on that show.

I apologize for the me not posting, then posting up lil' stuff, just teasing y'all.. It's the weekend... I'm going all out...

LUPE FIASCO - Press Conference At North Texas

The Story
SO.... Yesterday, Lupe came through to North Texas... He was scheduled for 2:30 pm... I got there around 2... it was ALREADY crowded... Meanwhile, they played Superstar, the instrumental and Dumb It Down until he got there. Got there around 3:10 (guess he got caught in traffic)...

The Arrival
So anyway, when he was coming to through the Student Union, they started playing "Kick Push"... and he started performing to it on his way to the conference table... Everybody in the room got hyped... It was CRAZY! The people in the room went from loud to CRUNK in 5 seconds...



The Press Conference
So they present him and begin asking him questions... Without going through ALL the questions they asked him, he talked about how his mom was a gourmet chef, (his favorite meal to cook is eggs. :-p), his father was an African musician, the origin of the name, "Lupe Fiasco", how Jay-Z invited Lupe into his home to have a meeting about signing him (he declined the offer), how he liked Jay-Z's gold Monopoly set and he should have the CRS (Child Rebel Soldiers) album, a trio of Kanye West, Pharrell and himself coming out late 2008.

Shout-Outs
So after the questions, they went right into the autograph session... Shout outs to my boy, Attah, who actually asked him a couple of questions, Dilly for notifying me about the event, Mike Smith, a rep from Atlantic Records who helped sponsor the program, and my homegirl, D for taking these pictures... She got up close and personal to dude... For those of you who live in the DFW, check out her Myspace page. She does EXCELLENT quality photos.



The Autograph Session
Thanks to some luck and some inside information, I was able to be one of the first people to get an autograph from homie. So I walk up to him in line, with my poster out (forgot to bring my "Food & Liquor" CD. :-/) and I shook Lupe's hand and said "What's good?" I was like, "I hope you're album does good, man. I'm tired of good rappers selling 100,000 copies, then just fall off. " He laughed it off, and was "Nah, man. It's a good album... You gonna like it." I hope so...

So let's go Cop That Album December 18th. The Cool
