Eshon Burgundy takes flight!

This week's OnSmash Saturday features philly native Eshon Burgundy! Listen as he lifts off lyrically on this joint. Its definitely a head nodder! Mrenc provides some nice vocals as well, really bringing balance to the overall grittiness of the track. Enjoy!

Eshon Burgundy-Close Your Eyes feat. Mrenc

Quick Bio: Anton “Eshon Burgundy” Hairston was born in Abington, Pennsylvania and grew up on the streets of South Philadelphia where he relocated in his preteen years. Growing up, all he heard around the house was hip-hop and rhythm and blues music which caught his artistic attention. That experience chartered him to start writing songs when he was just 9 years old.

After years of dabbling in both secular and holy hip hop, Eshon finally decided to focus his message solely on the saving grace of God through Christ, but still for the streets. He’s poured out his message in mixtapes like “The Fire Escape,” “Cleaning Out My Closet,” “Blood Bought” and “The Fire Escape Reissued” between 2007 and 2010. Along the way he discovered his graphic design and film making abilities and founded GoodLook Multimedia, providing design and video services to other artists and clients.

Quick Bio: Driven by his love for God, love for mankind and love for music, Jahaziel has a heart for all people, and specifically possesses a passion for the youth. With his own past experiences of seeing no option except to make a life through crime, Jahaziel understands the minds of young people caught up in street culture and ghetto lifestyle. He is able to relate to the feelings of hopelessness they face, yet Jahaziel comes to shine the light in darkness. For many years he has been involved in extensive youth projects, leading workshops and initiatives in schools and prisons for young men who especially need reaching. Hate the name; love the music. These kats can really sing. I finally agree with who made the group. Definitely have a new respect for Willie because he can...actually sing.lol And I say that because he is a total package if you know what I meant marketing wise. N.E. Way....check the new joint.

Oh and furthermore....I'm waiting until they have discovered themselves. Meaning who exactly is Day 26? We know what direction they're TRYING to go in but we're just....not.....locking in all the way quite yet....like Danity Kane. I remember when I hated their name. But i totally understand them now. lol But yeah check out the clip.
