My baby boo, Alica Keys, keeps things rolling and has just released the video for her third single, "Teenage Love Affair." The video is a homage to Spike Lee's classic movie, School Daze, which is centered around college life at a HBCU and starts Tisha-Campbell Martin. A Keys keeps her creative juices flowing in this video and MF 3.0 has the world premiered right now.
Now you know I already talked about Nas and his new album, Ni**er, but after hearin' his track I think my stance may have slightly changed. Nas, as he said previously, that the album title is driven artistically and not as a ploy to create attention in order to sale records. With this track, "Be A Ni**er Too," I understand, in a way, what he trying to do with this album. Listen to it here. And whether you like it or not, this is Hip-Hop, excuse me, Music, excuse me, the right to express oneself, in its rawest form.
Busta Ryhmes, one of the hardest working, most animated, and entertaining man in the music industry is trying to create some buzz for his next album with his single, "Don't Touch Me (Throw Da Water On Em)." Busta, as we all know, has been going through a tough time for the past two years, and I am glad that he is finally getting back to making music. Recent reports have stated that Busta Rhymes has cleaned house, cutting dies with Flipmode Squad, and his right-hand man, Spliff Starr, and Busta is in a whole new mindset right now. All I know is, this track is classic Busta and that is exactly what I like. Listen.
Bobby V, DTP's first R&B signing has departed ways with Ludacris's Disturbing The Peace imprint and has gone the independent route. According to Billboard.com, plans to release a six-track EP followed by a full-length studio album, called his time at DTP a "great stepping stone and learning experience. I look at this as my going off to college. It was time for me to step out on my own and show the world who Bobby Valentino, the artist really is." Yeah, I think it's a wrap for this child. Oh well, at least he blessed us with this track right here.
Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige, two of showbiz's hardest working people have dropped a video for their tour promo single, "You're Welcome." The video is shot documentary style and pieces together footage from their tour so far. Enjoy. Now I was just gonna post on R. Kelly's new joint, Hairbraider, then when I found out what his hairbraider actually did to his hair, I had to show yall. Now I don't know bout you, but the man has got to be going to jail soon if he doin' crazy stuff like that. The song jam, and it's classic Kels, that we've been accustomed to lately, not vintage Kels of Bump N Grind, Seems Like You Ready. Either way the song's tight, that is you're not tired of Kels doin' the same ol thing...which I guess is what he was trying to avoid with his hair looking like that. Anyway, here go the track.

My wifey has been catching some flack for recent comments that she made in an interview with Blender magazine. The magazine quoted her as saying, and I'm just paraphrasing, that she believed Gangsta Rap was made up by the government as a ploy in order to get black folks to kill each other, and the government and media made it bigger than what it was. Now I agree with her on that, with how the media blew the whole East Coast vs. West Coast out of proportion when it was goin' down, but the government stuff? Don't know about that ma. And that's exactly what she went on Ryan Seacrest:On Air to clean up what she said. A keys tells the listeners, she was misquoted and mistaken, and clarify her comments, which when you hear it makes a lot more sense. These media people just try taking everybody down don't they. New has just surfaced on Dispet representative, Freekey Zekey's near fatal car crash which occured last night, April 15th. Story is, Zekey was sitting in his 2007 White S550 Benz at a stop light when he was struck from the rear causing both Zeke and the passenger to be ejected through the windshield and on a Hummer that was parked in front of them. Both were rushed to the hospital but were later released with minor injuries. Freekey Zekey had just left the studio where he was working on his sophomore set due out this fall on Asylum Records. MF 3.0 glad he's ok, and tellin' everybody to buckle up.

This cat is real. Yall might have heard the name from the track he had buzzing earlier in the year, "The Pocket." Well apparently he has been killing in D.C. and other ares in the East Coast and is following up his last album, A Fly Guy's Theme, with another effort. His style is real different, I can't really explain it, I'll just let yall hear it n watch the video, n you'll let me know.

Diamonds on my neck? Yall remember that joint? I use to love that track, well yeah that's him, and this is his new joint. It's called Tell Me, ft. Mario AND Chris Brown. Why you need to R&B artists on your joint? I don't know, but the song is a lil bit of a banger, nice mid-tempo joint. But definately not enough to get an album released. What yall think?

Preliminary information from officials at Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center, where Donda West died Saturday, indicated she died from "complications of surgery," Lt. Fred Corral told The Associated Press. An autopsy was to be conducted by Wednesday, Corral said.
Patricia Green, a consultant who has worked as a publicist for West in the past, had previously told news agencies that West died after cosmetic surgery. She backed away from those comments in later interviews with the AP, saying she was not sure of the cause because she had received conflicting information." - Source
