Cassidy & Jim Jones - Jones Bottles Poppin'?!

Lol. Not exactly.. but yea... It seems that Cassidy's crew and Jim Jones' crew couldn't get along at a new Hip Hop Soda Shop in Tampa.

Word on the street is that Jim Jones and Juelz left a VIP area of the club, when Cassidy and members of his entourage arrived. Members of Jones' entourage came back and got into a verbal altercation with Cassidy's security guard.

Later, the security guard was hit in the head with a full champagne bottle and knocked out cold. That's just gutta... What can you say to that?

R. Kelly - New Warrant?!


Man... The boy, R. is back at it again...
A bench warrant was issued for Kelly for his failure to appear in a Chicago court. According to Kelly’s defense lawyer, Ed Genson, he was held up in Utah because of the snow... Kelly has a hard time staying out of trouble, don't he?

Jay-Z - Dumbest Moments of '07!


While 50 Cent & Diddy are on the Top of the list for Forbes Top 100, Fortune has Jay-Z under #32 for using dog hair instead of faux fur in his Rocawear jackets. Wow... that was a great move... until people allergic to dogs start complaining, lol. I don't think it was him, personally, but somebody high in that organization musta have been pink slipped for that move. :-p

R&N - 11/08/07 - CASSIDY'S BARS

Hey folks,

Cassidy - My Review


I don't see too many reviews or hype about Cassidy's album... Don't know why... The dude is back... After some jail time (explained on Innocent) and near fatal car accident (explained on Drink N 2 Step), I'd take a break from rap too... But now, he's back, more focused than ever. His 1st album (Split Personality) put out some hot singles and a buzz... Unfortunately, that's about it.

The 2nd album (I'm A Hustla) was HOT, all the way 'round, but he wasn't able to promote it, due to jail time. It struggled to go gold... I can go back to that album, and still bang it.

This 3rd album... He's still Cassidy, but after 4, 5 tracks, you start getting confused on what he's talking about... "Wait, is he mentioning God?" "Did he talk about Jesus?"... Yea... On a rap album?! This is how you know he's changed up some... Check out these tracks to see what I'm talkin' about...

Done For Me

Now if you believe that people can change for the better, have some sort of spiritual side, and like good hip-hop music, this album is a must have. I don't know what kind of flack I'm gonna get for posting this. But I'm just being real. I know he's talking about a lot of violence, guns and using mild language, but change isn't overnight. Takes time... From this album, he seems to be telling stories he feels need to be put out and let the world here. Forget being "gangsta", he's being true to himself, and realizes that people need to understand it without being too preachy.

Also, give dude the respect he deserves, lol. Peep this vid real quick.

TI (c'mon... TI vs. TIP), Yung Joc (The Motorcycle) & Soulja Boy (Bathing Apes aka BAPES) need to give this dude props. Think about that, lol.

Anyway, long story short... this album is a classic in the sense that he's making the biggest attempt I've seen to talk about religion without doing Christian rap. If you buy his album, you can show the industry that you can talk about stuff like that and STILL be successful. That's what's good in my book.

R&N - 11/07/07 - ALBUMS To COP!

Hey folks,

I hope you're going to the CD stores this week! 3 HOT NEW albums came out yesterday!
I ended up buying 2 albums, because I don't like spending more than $20 on albums all at one time (unless I was just ballin' like that).

So I picked up Jay & Cass... Jay-Z really don't need much promo. Hot singles: Blue Magic (almost played out now), Roc Boys (RIDICULOUS!), Hello Brooklyn 2.0 (NYCE!) and even Pray (even the first song is a banger!) I know I already posted them, but this is just a REMINDER... I posted them WAY BACK...

Chris Brown... I don't have too much to say too much on him. He's a done deal... Half of America's teenage girls are jumping all up on this album... He doesn't dissapoint.

I'd talk about Cassidy, but I'll save that for tomorrow's post. Cassidy's album is special on a totally different level. Don't sleep on dude. Anyway, here is my recap and most of my favorite tracks on their albums.

Yo, I'm officially endorsing Cassidy's album tomorrow... well not really, but I'm really trying to promote this album! It's hot! It's not your regular Cassidy, but it's still something to be reckoned with. He shows ALOT of growth on this album, due to his incarceration and near-fatal car accident. After a story like that, you GOT to put out a dope album...

Go cop that album tomorrow along with the American Gangster soundtrack... I mean Jay-Z's unofficial soundtrack album. :-p

Cassidy's B.A.R.S.

Cassidy has teamed with DJ Green Lantern to release the mixtape, 7/7/7, a prequel to his highly-anticipated third album, B.A.R.S. -The Barry Adrien Reese Story. It debuted today on 07/07/07... makes sense, heheh.

Besides the fact that today's date doesn't occur very often, both Cassidy and Green Lantern celebrated their birthday today. So Shout Outs to the both of them. We waitin' on that new album, Cass!

7.7.7 will also contain the Philadelphia rapper's single "My Drink n' My 2-Step," the first release from B.A.R.S., which hits stores on September 19.

B.A.R.S. features production by Swizz Beatz, Just Blaze, The Runners, Timbaland, Cool and Dre, Hi-Tek and many more. Guest appearances include John Legend, Beanie Sigel, Fabolous, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Eve and Rell.

Background Info:
The album is said to explain Cassidy's new outlook on life, since recovering from his almost fatal car accident in October of 2006, when a truck swerved into oncoming traffic and struck the side of the SUV that he was passenger in.

Cassidy was in a brief coma and suffered a fractured skull and numerous broken bones in his face. Cassidy, 25, is currently on the And1 Mixtape tour, putting the finishing touches on B.A.R.S and giving 7.7.7 to his fans.
