Have you got the energy?

This is Energy banner

Here's a group you may or may not have heard of: This Is Energy. They're friends from St. Louis, Missouri, made up of Adam Gardner & Britton Campbell. Adam writes the lyrics, plays guitar, and sings. Britton drums and is usually the one online. It's pop/rock and sounds like a mix of Mayday Parade, Secondhand Serenade, and Saosin. Other bands they sound similar to are Third Eye Blind & Dashboard Confessional. This isn't really what I usually listen to, but I got referred by someone on myspace. So I decided to check them out and I'm happy I did. My current favorite This Is Energy song is "I Never." It's pretty sweet, especially the lyrics.

Their myspace is their main connection to the fans. Facebook has also been helpful. They just gave everyone who left their name in the blog.. a Christmas surprise! That was a personalized Christmas photo card. & yes, I got one, :) but I'm not one to reveal my last name.. sorry. Visit their photo album for that. haha. It's quite festive!
the video below.. is highly amusing. They have more random ones like this on their YouTube page.

cover of Usher's "Love in this Club" (by Adam)

The Energy Movement. myspace.com/theenergymovement

They have a movement that's about inspiring and supporting this generation "to realize their full potential, through cultivating desire to achieve their dreams, have faith in themselves, develop plans to achieve their goals."

BTW, there's a Christmas SALE on their tee shirts (for male and female fit/style).. only $10!
You can buy their music on iTunes, too.

Music you probably haven't heard of: Jonnie & Brookie

The band is made up of well, self-explanatory, Jonnie & Brookie. They're sisters who love singing and making a difference. Jonnie, age 16, has the brown hair. Brookie, age 14, is blonde. They started singing when they were 3 and 5, and they absolutely love and appreciate their fans. They even have a mission statement:

Our Mission Statement:

We sing to Honor God.

to Make a Difference,

to be good role models

and we sing to have fun!

Visit http://jonnieandbrookie.com/ for everything.
You can comment them on myspace, which is where you can hear their music and read their blogs/ contests. What's special is how they care (hence their mission statement) and they have even written a few children's books.

"Every Day is Christmas" is their new holiday song. I love it! Listening to these girls are perfect for your younger siblings, nieces, nephews, or children.

They were a contestant for Radio Disney's NBT (Next Big THing). Voting for 2 weeks on Radiodisney.com. They will be performing at the end of December in Arizona, and next month, shows in Texas, California, & Wisconsin. Check their myspace for exact dates and locations.

new emerging artist: Mone't

Myspace is a great place to discover new music. My favorite song by her is "Suddenly". It's really sweet and almost princess-like. I really like her voice, especially in that song. The music video for it is really cute, too.

"Suddenly" - Mone't
guest appearance Raja Fenske (Jake Bahardi from "Unfabulous")

She's 18, in California, and has made a few acting appearances on tv including The Bernie Mac Show, Lincoln Heights (ABC Family), Zoey 101 (Nickelodeon) & The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (Disney).

Her song "Call It a Day" was in the movie featuring Lori Loughlin & Kay Panabaker called "Moondance Alexander" (2007) that involved a girl horse-racing.
"Fairytale" is a cute little ballad of "...boy meets girl.." :)

If you're going to be in California this upcoming week, check this out

You can watch the CBS commercial for a new show "Worst Week" here. Mone't is at the end of it. & the commercial is pretty funny.

AND, looks like she's in another promo... for this little video game. You may not have heard about it. It's called GUITAR HERO 4!!! (*note sarcasm*)
