Gucci Goes To Jail


Ya favorite southern rapper who's been tearing up the radio with the likes of Trey Songz, Omarion, Mario & Usher went to jail today for violating parole. Gucci Mane has been sentenced to a year in prison, but MAY be let out in six months if he gets good behavior.

Gucci was supposed to drop his new album, The State Vs. Radric Davis on December 8th. He leaked “Worst Enemy" which is a song off the new album that addresses T.I. and Young Jeezy. No word yet on whehter the album date will change.

Terrence/Rocsi Beef: Part 3 (Final Chapter)

Hey folks,

Looks like Rocsi and Terrence finally made up. Mario guest hosted with Rocsi today and after the Forever video, appeared a huge vase of flowers and a letter on stage. Rocsi believed the flowers were from Mario, but he admitted that they were from Terrence.

Mario read the letter talking about how Terrence and Rocsi have been together for 2 years, and how sorry he was, also explaining he's on vacation right now... So I guess the beef is over... On with the show...

Anyway, they will be premiring the Put On video with Jeezy today. BOTH videos (Terrence Apology & Put On) should be put on soon...

Quite a few leak critiques this week....end. lol But lets start with one....I quite don't understand. Which is unfortunate because I actually quite like these 2 kats. But....something just doesn't.....curl all the way over on this one. Definitely a joint that one or the other needs to do SO....LO! I'm just sayin. Nice beat laid here though. Check it.

Mario has consistently been on the rise ever since his debut album. But Lloyd I believe is finding himself in this newly released LP. Check out both joints.

Now....even though I do like the joint by Lloyd....AND I got mad luv for slim, I mean hell we went to the same high school so I gotta show luv for the "H" in all that we do......not feelin the collabo. lol I'M JUST SAYIN!!!! But naw, if you listen to this clip it's like 2 different tracks...but not really.lol Don't know what direction this particular leak was going in there. But overall B-

Word on the street is that T-Boz of TLC is about to drop a new album soon... She may be working with Pharrell. More than likely, Polo Da Don and Dallas Austin will be producing. I hope it's good... I need a lil' bit of TLC back in my life, heheh.


Kanye West - Good Life Not A Good Look


Man... it's lookin' like every producer now a days is jacking. Timbaland, Dr. Dre, now Kanye???
Kanye is being sued by Dayna Staggs, A.K.A. DMystro from Maryland for copyright infringement
on the song "Good Life." Staggs wants 85% of all world sales of the proceeds from the music that uses his work. Man, wasn't someone suing Kanye and Luda for "Stand Up" a while back... I'm a need people to stop jackin... But Good Life was a heck of a jam last year...

Man... haven't heard from Nate Dogg in a good minute... But just when you finally hear about them... BAM... Punchin' his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend in the face... Nate Dogg was sentenced to 3 years probation yesterday after pleading guilty to the assault and is now prohibited from carrying weapons... Go fig... Ya'll got comments, go 'head and post 'em.

He goes by the name of O'neal Mcknight and has been cosigned by the who's who in the music industry. Diddy, Jermaine, Quincy Jones, Swizz, Russel Simmons, etc all luv this joint and luv his sound. The track in discussion is called Check Your Coat, and yes as usual its buzzing out there in NYC and slowly but steadily spreading. The sound? Unlike anything right now. Funky, feel-good, club song, that you can't help but dance or try to dance to. Produced by DJ Cassidy, a top DJ for all those people I just named dropped, and Dub-L, the song is an infectious blend of 80s synths and heavy drum-laced sounds of the 90s. Yes another throwback ode to the 80s/90s joint I know but this joint is good. I can't even explain it anymore, just listen. He just recently signed to Motown and is re shooting is low budget video with Little X, tons of cameos, including Christopher Lloyd of Back To The Future fame and the car, the Deleron. Super Tuesday

This past Tuesday saw a plethora, nice word I know, of new releases from Rap & R&B artists. After having virtually no Hip-Hop releases in the past few weeks, Billboard is blessed with EIGHT new releases from this genre. The Dream leads the pack with his first solo album, LoveHate and is set to do soundscan battle with Bow Wow & Omarion's FaceOff, Birdman's 5 Star Stunna, Mario's Go, Beanie Sigel's The Solution, Wu Tang Clan's 8 Diagrams, Gucci Mane's Back To The Trap House, and Hi Tek's Hi Teknology 3. I'm glad we finally got some new music coming out but I really don't see nobody pushing over 100,000 copies except for The Dream. Man, marketing dollars ain't what it use to be anymore is it? I bet yall didn't know half of these joints came out yesterday. Well either way you do know, so go pick up a few.

Solange signs deal with Geffen












When I first heard this news, I asked myself why. I guess being a celeb's sibling really does pay off. With seen Usher's lil bro get a big producing just for sharing some genes with a star. Ok, now yes he did make Get It Shawty, but that's one hot beat. Now as far as Solange, she tried to do the music thing, and as far as I can remember it didn't work. She had that one joint with N.O.R.E., "Feeling You' produced by the Neptunes and it came out when peeps was buying cds and she still ain't sell, why Geffen scooped her up, I don't know. But apparently, according to one of the VPs over there, her album is "bananas." Don't expect to hear a Beyonce sounding album because Solange is real eccentric. Her music is kind of retro, and international sounding...What the hell does that mean? I'm eager to see how this one sound like but yo she do got a joint with my peeps The Neptunes called "I Decided", we'll definitely post that when we get it.
