Cali rapper Glasses Malone, whose been bouncing around records labels for years has finally found a home with Cash Money and has released his debut single "Certified" with Akon. First bein' courted by Def Jam, Interscope, Atlantic, Malone decided with Sony Records as well as having a strong affiliation with Game's Black Wall Street imprint. After things didn't pop off with Sony he was released and now is attempting to make things right. The song is bubbling around now across the U.S. and is very reminiscent of Jeezy's/Akon - Soul Survior. Peep the track here and let us know what you think.

Brandy's brother, hot off his sex tape fame has created another buzz worthy track with up and comer Yung Berg. Sexy Can I, can be heard on damn near every radio station in the U.S. and all over MTV Jams and BET. Sheit my 'cuzin in the UK even says it's gettin spun over there. So if you haven't heard it, yep, Ray J, got another one. Although quite the opposite track from One Wish, Ray J's last semi hit, its still has the same buzz but still don't think it gonna help move any units. At least not Brandy numbers. Either way peep the video here. And shout outs to my man Yung Berg, watch out for that one.

My apologies for the late post, I just got back from seein' Barack Obama at a rally where I'm at, AND Chelsea Clinton came to my school so I had to dwell in some politics today, but nevertheless Hump Day is here and here are the Exclusives.

Introducing: O'neal McknightBe prepared 'cause I am going to attempt and break this song multiple times, so this joint will be posted multiple times. But don't worry, the track is a banger! He goes by the name of O'neal Mcknight and has been cosigned by the who's who in the music industry. Diddy, Jermaine, Quincy Jones, Swizz, Russel Simmons, etc all luv this joint and luv his sound. The track in discussion is called Check Your Coat, and yes as usual its buzzing out there in NYC and slowly but steadily spreading. The sound? Unlike anything right now. Funky, feel-good, club song, that you can't help but dance or try to dance to. Produced by DJ Cassidy, a top DJ for all those people I just named dropped, and Dub-L, the song is an infectious blend of 80s synths and heavy drum-laced sounds of the 90s. Yes another throwback ode to the 80s/90s joint I know but this joint is good. I can't even explain it anymore, just listen. He just recently signed to Motown and is re shooting is low budget video with Little X, tons of cameos, including Christopher Lloyd of Back To The Future fame and the car, the Deleron. The pimp is finally free! Hope yall been 'bumping your UGK tracks this week. Lil Flip has done a tribute song to him that I'm let yall hear. Oh and don't believe the rumors, nothing has been confirmed yet that Pimp C was found with prescription drugs, as of now his death was by natural concerns. UGK was also just nominated for two grammy awards on Thursday. Man. May he R.I.P.

Grammy nominated were announced yesterday and Kanye led the pack with EIGHT nominations. Kanye West's nominations dominate the rap field, with nominations for the Best Rap Album and double nominations in the Best Rap Song category - with both "Can't Tell Me Nothing" and "Good Life" vying for the award. Graduation is also in competition for Album of the Year. Other notable nominees were Jay Z, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake with 5, Akon with 4, Common and T.I. both with three, and Beyonce, 50, and Alicia Keys with two. Jay-Z on his way out?

















Jay-Z's 3-year contract is soon to expire and rumor has it Jay is demanding a steep pay increase. Sources close to the situation say that Jay-Z's demands are too high for what is reasonable in the industry today. They also say with him being in and out of retirement he is never in the office that long to demand such a pay. Another source also says L.A. Reid has no problem with Jay Z and that negotiations are very positive. Hmm, only time will tell.

Nas - N***** Album?!


Nas is supposedly planning to put out "N*****" (not even the hood term) as his next album... The new album will be coming out either December 11th or sometime in '08. Some of the producers on the album will be J.D., Diddy, and Salaam Remi. I wonder how they're gonna promote this album on MTV...

Speaking of which, this is what he told them:

"We're taking power from the word," he added. "No disrespect to none of them who were part of the civil-rights movement, but some of my n---as in the streets don't know who [civil-rights activist] Medgar Evers was. I love Medgar Evers, but some of the n---as in the streets don't know Medgar Evers, they know who Nas is. T.I. - Update Pt. 5 - Losing Out?!


So I don't know if TI will be promoting his new movie with Denzel, "American Gangster" while in jail... BUT, he might be screwed out of a COUPLE movies... He is supposed to be working with Danny Glover on a new movie I wrote about a month or so ago called "Once Was Lost."

He was also about to get a script for yet another starring role as a car-salesman for the comedy "For Sale," which was to begin production in early 2008. He was even having screen tests for the upcoming movie (that I'm REAL excited about), "Justice League" as Green Lantern. I also heard that Christina Milian is auditioning as Wonder Woman.

He even missed out on being in the video for the new song, 5000 Ones, which I'll post up soon... I know Chevrolet has his sponsorship deal "under review." Only time will tell... I hope they let T.I. speak about his situation soon...

Fugees - Lauryn Killing Reunion?


It's rumored that Lauryn seems to be killing the whole reunion. She's wanting to produce tracks for the group now. That's not flying with 'Clef, though. The production has been mostly Wyclef doin' the beats, but now Lauryn is trying to break the format.

Wyclef tells interviewer:

"We did a remix [with] Lauryn for John Legend, for the record “How High.” John Legend was saying our names. You know what she had [him] do? She was like, “Take off Wyclef and Jerry’s names.” Because she wanted people to think that she was the one doing the beat…I’m a producer and I’m a beatmaker with my cousin Jerry Wonder, and I’m a writer. She’s a writer, a vocalist, [and] a great [vocal] composer. And she’s great at picking out samples—she got 20 billion samples but can’t chop ’em up to save her life."

So many stories about Foxy Brown and how her album, Black Roses was supposed to come out... It's been years now. Now, there's a rumor that Foxy will be signed to Akon's Konvict label... Guess we'll see...

Turk - Paroled!


Turk of Cash Money Records has been in jail for 3 years now, after plain clothes cops busted into his apartment, reportedly not identifying themselves as police. Needless to say, a gun battle had drawn and left his apartment looking like swiss cheese. He'll be released in November.
