R&N - 02/28/09 - Evening News

New Chris Brown Update

So here’s the update…..

It has been confirmed by TMZ.com, along with People Magazine, that Chris Brown and Rihanna have reconciled and are back together again. Sources say the couple is staying at a house owned by Sean “Diddy” Combs in Florida. It was also rumored that Brown contacted Rihanna on her birthday, and even gave her gifts to try to get back into her good graces. He has also been going to anger management classes to help his pending case, which sources say may be delayed while prosecutors continue to gather evidence.

But in the mean time, Chris’ career is slipping further into a black hole. Ciara and Flo-Rida have reportedly cancelled their duets with the singer/actor. ‘Turntables’, a single off of Ciara’s upcoming album, will no longer feature Brown. Flo-Rida also decided to take Brown off a project the two were working on.

Hollywood also seems to be dumping Brown. Promotion for the 2010 movie ‘Bone Deep’, featuring Idris Elba and T.I., will not include Brown. But one director says he is standing by troubled singer. Melvin James still plans on working with Brown for the movie ‘Caramel’, which will start production later this year.

R&N - 03/18/08 - ALBUM REVIEW

I have to say that I am impressed. This album has top-notch production, catchy hooks, and superstar guest appearances with Flo keeping pace with everyone of them. It is basically the sort of album you want to have in the deck when your cruising with the top down on a sunny day. Flo is comfortable on every track. Even though he was pretty much rhyming about money, cars, and girls, Flo has a lot of presence on the mic and you can't help but listen. Every track on here is a banger from the crazy intro track 'American Superstar' featuring Lil Wayne to the smooth 'Ms. Hangover'. With that said, I have to admit that I judged this album before I listened to it. Hell, I didn't even want to review it when I was asked, but I'm happy to admit that I was wrong. Get this album, put it in your stereo, and you will have a party.
Production Quality: 9/10
Lyrics: 6/10
Overall Score: 7.5 - Worth Buying!
