Testimony Thursday

Hey folks,

For Testimony Thursday, we've got a RARE topic that is barely ever brought up in the proper light that it needs. If you haven't figured out by the video graphic, just take a listen to the video. It's not a light subject, but I'm glad that Bizzle was strong enough to bring it to the light. Glory to His Name.

Bizzle ft. Sevin - My Confession

Ephesians 5:13 - But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.

Mixtape Monday

Hey folks,

Check out this hot new song from DJ DMD as he re-does an old school track. Interestingly enough, its one of his own from 1998 that was originally called "25 Lighters." "It was a huge moment, and I wasn't mentally or spiritually prepared for it," he says. "I was a clean-cut kid, but when hip-hop took that hard turn, I became enraptured by it. I wanted to be a gangster. Everybody was thugging, and so that's what I did. And I started to believe my own lies. I got wrapped up in a lifestyle and couldn't get out."

For the full story, check out this link.

Happy Valentine's Day

Hey folks,

Check out this new track from P-Dub(formerly Pretty Willie) and Bizzle!

Willie "P-Dub" Moore Jr. and Bizzle feat. Latoya Wilson
 Get No Better

Ephesians 5:25-33 - Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— for we are members of his body. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Happy Valentines Day!

Mixtape Monday - Letter To Nicki

Hey folks,

After hearing about last night's Grammys, I felt this be a good track for you guys to check out. I didn't personally see it go down last night, otherwise, I would have posted sooner. Many will say that she was being "artistic", "creative" or "trying to boost her career", but she could have done this SOO many other different ways... Now after associating her "alter-ego", Roman to the movie, "The Exorcist", you can only imagine what will be speculated from that... What I find all the more disturbing was the people responsible for holding the Grammys okayed the performance. I'm sure after this performance, considering all the backlash and negative reviews, they will reconsider such a stunt.

Now I'm not here to bash Nicki Minaj or anyone for that matter, but truth is that music is more than just a song and video. It has been used as a platform used to influence and inspire the culture that we live in. 10 years ago, no one would believed they would allow an "exorcism" on the Grammys, yet it did just happen last night. For those who have their eyes open spiritually, please pray for Nicki Minaj.

OnSmash Saturday

Hey folks,

Check out this track from Lavoisier ft. Bizzle and Bumps INF. Straight Heat! Enjoy!

Lavoisier ft. Bizzle & Bumps INF - Winning

Quick Bio:
A student of hip hop since a youngster, Lavoisier was first introduced to two turntables and a microphone at the impressionable age of six by his older brother, and so began his love affair with all things hip hop. His older brother, who was a serious and dedicated MC on the verge of a record deal would later be murdered in the streets of Brooklyn, NY when Lavoisier was twelve. Growing up displaced, losing a brother to gun violence and already having lost mother to a heart attack at age four, combined with the pain of having an absentee drug addict for a father, became too much to bear. Following a conversation with a close friend, Lavoisier began to pursue a relationship with God. “Jesus got me up outta them streets and healed all of those broken areas of my life, so that’s who I’m gonna do this music for,” he says.
