For those who didn't know, Keith Elam aka Guru of legendary group, Gang Starr passed away Monday. Music Forecast had heard about his new album and had reached out to get an interview. Guru's Surgery A Success

Guru Is Recovering From Surgery

So as we told you yesterday, Gangstarr member, Guru had a heart attack was in the hospital. He had to have surgery and the surgery was a success. Doctors believe it will be a full recovery as well. Glad to hear the great news.

Tragic News this morning... Keith Elam better known as Guru, legendary hip-hop group, GangStar frontman has reportedly had a heart attack and is currently in a coma being hospitalized. He is in an undisclosed hospital in New York City.


For those that didn't know, he has been promoting his newest album, Lost & Found. We'll keep you updated as we get more details on this breaking story...

Update: Guru was reported to have been scheduled for surgery today.
