Good afternoon and a Merry Christmas to all. We hope that u all have enjoyed your Holiday season so far and regret to bring grieving news of the homegoing of the late Ms. Eartha Kitt. She passed earlier today at the age of 81 due to her ongoing battle with cancer.
She is perhaps best known for her role as Catwoman in the 1960s “Batman” series. During her career, Kitt endured a 10-year blacklisting owing to her sharp criticism of the Vietnam War. In the midst of her ongoing battle with cancer, she told the New York Post, “I never expect anything to happen to me. “I’m the healthiest person in the world.”
In further news, we've learned that Beyonce Knowles has gotten the go ahead and has been cast to play singer/actress Eartha Kitt in an upcoming biopic about the singer’s life. Now in my own opinion after viewing Cadillac Records, I believe Beyonce to be a fully capable and promising attress. BUT will she be able to portray and handle a role and character with SOOO much personality and so much distinction as Eartha Kitt? Only time will tell. Our prays go out not only to the family, friends, and loved ones of the late great Eartha Kitt, but to Beyonce at her attempt to portray such a woman of class, grace, and resilient personality. You will be missed...Miss Eartha Kitt.
