For this installment of Testimony Thursday, we will be presenting one of DJ DMD. He talks about his success in the music industry as well as the alcohol and drug use that even ruined his marriage. But listen as he talks about how it all turned around for him.
Check out this hot new song from DJ DMD as he re-does an old school track. Interestingly enough, its one of his own from 1998 that was originally called "25 Lighters."
"It was a huge moment, and I wasn't mentally or spiritually prepared for it," he says. "I was a clean-cut kid, but when hip-hop took that hard turn, I became enraptured by it. I wanted to be a gangster. Everybody was thugging, and so that's what I did. And I started to believe my own lies. I got wrapped up in a lifestyle and couldn't get out."
